Eileen Donan

This is my wonderful bride's castle. Well, not really hers but her ancestral family's home. It it the Eilean Donan Castle in Dornie, Scotland. My bride is of Scottish ancestry and her ancestors were part of the McCray clan. Eilean Donan is in the Highlands of Scotland, one of the most beautiful places we have visited. If the castle looks familiar to you, it is one of the most photographed castles in the world as well as having been in many films including at least one James Bond film. This is one of my five favorite photos I have ever taken and it was a real pain as the original was really badly backlit.
