Mt. St. Helens

For my followers and friends who don't recognize this mountain valley and the lake in it, this is what was left after Mt. St. Helens exploded in the early eighties. That area where the lake sits used to be where the peak of a pretty substantial mountain stood. If you are ever driving between Seattle and Portland, OR this is worth a stop. The visitor center has a superb presentation that has the audience watching a huge screen inside the center. After they finish their presentation, the screen lifts, the curtains behind it open and you see this view. After seeing the film and what the mountain looked like before and during the eruption is stunning.
