The Mountain is Out

This is one of my favorite shots of what we here in Washington call "The Mountain." This is often mentioned on days like the day I took this picture (beautiful sunny days) when we say, "The Mountain is out!" You know it's going to be a good day when we say that. This shot from June 2017 was taken from the aft deck of Celebrity Cruise's Solstice as we sailed back into Seattle after one of our eight cruises to Alaska. Although for us, this is not necessarily a travel pic, it could be for you. It should be noted that a real Washingtonian would hate me showing you this photo because it might make you think our weather is like this every day...which might make you move here. But the truth is, this is how our weather has been a lot this summer. I was lucky here to get the confluence of two our NW symbols—the mountain and two Washington State Ferries.
